Our operating area

The operating area of Severočeská Vodárenská incorporated company (in the following text as SVS) cover most of the area of Northern Bohemia, especially Liberec Region and Ústí nad Labem Region. The population is 1,128 million inhabitants.

This area borders with Germany and Poland. Hydrologically, most of the SVS operating territory belongs to the basin of Elbe River which is the sea-drainage are of the North Sea. Only a small part of the territory in the Nort-East belongs to the basin of the Neisse River and Oder River which is the sea-drainage area of the Baltic Sea. Hydrographically, the most important river is Elbe with its tributaries Ohře, Bílina, Jizera, Ploučnice and Kamenice. Only a part of the area in the Nort-East is drained by the Lausitzer Neisse and Mandava.
