Property
When establishing the Severočeská vodárenská společnost, the founder put into the company the property amounting to 7,605,482,000 CZK. This property was solely water industry infrastructure located on the territory of the former North Bohemian Region. The company provides administration of this very extensive property and ensures its renewal, as well as the construction of the necessary new facilities.
Throughout its existence, the company has shown positive economic results. The basic aim of the company remains to provide inhabitants with good quality drinking water and to ensure sewage collection and wastewater treatment at a socially acceptable price (water and sewer rate) through the Severočeské vodovody a kanalizace (SčVK) on the basis of a long-term contract on the lease of water management property by SčVK. The main activities of the company consist in continuously improving the quality of water industry equipment of the region, i.e. in the care of existing infrastructure (repairs, maintenance, and renewal of assets), and in the construction of new water management assets, while minimizing the costs connected with these activities.
At the end of the year 2017 the company´s assets achieved 19,539 million CZK. The company´s assets were mainly tied to fixed property which grew by 2.08% year-on-year. A significant component of fixed property was fixed assets in the form of water management infrastructure. The increase of fixed property was influenced by continuing investment activities of the company.
